How can we help?
Our Helpline is staffed by experienced specialist nurses
who offer up to date, reliable and balanced information on all
aspects of prostate disease. We also provide emotional support and
can signpost callers to other organisations that may be able to
provide additional help. Our nurses are however, unable to
diagnose a medical condition and any information provided should
not replace any medical advice given by your doctor.
We are a member of The Helplines
Association and our service has been accredited to
The Helplines Standard. This means that through independent
assessment, we have demonstrated that we are committed to
quality and offer a professional service.
We aim to answer over 85% of attempted calls to the Helpline.
However, there are times when the Helpline can experience a high
volume of calls and callers are given the option to queue. We know
that there are more calls to the Helpline in the morning, so you
are more likely to speak with a nurse on your first attempt if you
call after 12 noon.
